The most depressing thing about this scene is the fact that everyone in the comments cries over them not getting to go on the trip before dying, when that was a plan b cope for the real tragedy which was not getting to have kids. My generation only pointing out the trip part is gut wrenching, we're all doomed.

If the enemy has pushed you all the way back to your own doorstep, you are most likely going to lose. Churchill was rallying his troops to fight till the last man. Thank goodness it didn't come to that.
